Christopher Eaton will discuss night photography on America’s public lands, including the challenges of seeing and photographing the night sky in our increasingly bright world. He will present photographs and time lapse from around the Southwest, including Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, that show why half the park is truly after dark.
Christopher K. Eaton, a past Page resident for 10 years, is a photographer, filmmaker, and writer now based out of Colorado. He spends much of his time traveling across the Colorado Plateau and the American West where he works and plays on some of our nation’s most amazing public lands. His recently published second book, Nights Skies of the American Southwest, presents some of his night photography from the region’s national parks and monuments.
