The Arizona National Scenic Trail is quickly gaining popularity alongside major routes like the Appalachian trail and Pacific Crest trail. This 800 mile recreational lifeline runs from Mexico to Utah connecting communities and people to the scenic assets of the state. As a long time Gateway Community Advisor for the Arizona Trail Association, Sirena Dufault has spent a lot of time on the trail and in communities raising awareness for Arizona’s vanishing vistas. Now working independently, she speaks to the benefits of the trail and how we can accommodate the increased tourism it has to offer.
The Glen Canyon Lecture Series is made possible through a partnership between Glen Canyon Natural History Association, the John Wesley Powell Museum and the Page Public Library. Lectures are free to the public and supported by grants and donations. Thank you for supporting your public programs.
