Botanical Learning Center

Overview

Native plant species are now growing in the new Botanical Learning Center thanks to a National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Grant supplemented with monies from the National Park Service "Parks as Classrooms" program, a lot of volunteer work and support from the Page Unified School District.

The once neglected commercial greenhouse facility has takem shape and come to life with a new purpose thanks to NPS Education Specialist Joan Mayer who developed the vision of refurbishing the greenhouse for the propagation of native plant species found on the Colorado Plateau.
